Biography
Daniel Nadeau is a full professor in the Department of Civil and Water Engineering at Université Laval (since 2015). His expertise lies in the hydrology of cold regions, with a particular focus on snow evaporation, accumulation and melting. His research aims to better understand hydrological processes in the field to support the development of land surface models, used in weather and climate modeling. Professor Nadeau has extensive experience in measuring water and energy exchanges between the land surface and the atmosphere over northern reservoirs, lakes, boreal forest, deserts, alpine environments, peatlands and the Arctic. He has numerous collaborations in Canada, Europe and the United States. Daniel Nadeau has been Director of the Bachelor of Water Engineering program, unique in Quebec, since 2022.
